Blagpost? ANOTHER one? Oh, come on!

Hello!  It’s been a while since the last real post, I guess.  I will give you an update on what I’ve been doing.

 

My life has been taken up by a continuous loop of School, Drama Rehearsal, and MineCraft.  Day after day after day.   But fortunately, I’m still keeping my creative side somewhat alive, outside of Minecraft, that is.

1. I’ve been practicing music.  My Piano skills have seen a recent rise, as I’ve learned a few new bits of music.  Not anything nice, mind you, but fairly good considering I have trouble reading the Bass Clef now, after only playing the Treble Clef.  That’s not a good sign.  Been playing a bit of Homestuck and Minecraft music.

2. I’ve been doing some more pixel art!  Ian, my bearded chum, has been kind enough to offer me some constructive criticism on my art so I started to employ shading.

Changed the Line colours and the shading.

This one is particularly good, I’ve heard.  People enjoy this one.

And here’s a test and practice cube that I did to practice shading.  It’s pretty okay, I guess.

This Hamburger image was a request from a friend.  This is the basic outline.  The first draft, if you will.

Second draft.  Applied basic shading,

Did a bit more shading, adjusted the shapes of the buns.  Shifted the bottom bun to the right a little more to make the burger more uniform.

And here’s the final, clean, exported product.  I’m pretty proud of it.  I’ve still got a bit to improve with shading, but this is a good start.

So yeah.  That’s all I’ve really got for now.  I’ll update every now and then with pictures from my Minecraft server, which is expanding exponentially by the day, and my pixel art progress.
